Can we keep his voice?
His book can play his voice.
With his yes, each chapter can carry a small code. Point a phone at it and hear him tell that story himself.

Years from now, they will still hear him.
Near the end, he speaks a letter to the people he chooses. It is printed in his book with a small code. Scan it, and they hear him say it. Every chapter can carry one too.
- No app to install
- His voice, always
- Video if he chooses
His voice, his choices.
He says yes first.
Before his first conversation, Anna tells him that what he says is recorded, so the book keeps his own words, and asks if that is all right. Only he can say yes. You can’t say it for him.
Video only if he picks it.
He chooses between “Yes, use my camera” and “Just my voice”. Nothing is picked for him, and he can change his mind at any time.
A separate yes for each code.
Before the book is printed, he decides chapter by chapter which ones carry a code. He can switch any code off at any time, even after printing.
His recordings are his.
The family can listen and keep a copy for the family, as he allows. Nobody may sell them, publish them, or make a copy of his voice.
Never used to train AI.
We don’t use his recordings to recognize anyone or to train AI, and we don’t let anyone else.
His letters wait for him.
He is offered the chance to speak them near the end, and he can pass. You read them when the book is in your hands.
Before you decide.

Who can hear a chapter?
Anyone holding the book. That is why he chooses chapter by chapter. A printed book can be lent or passed down, so he gives a code only to chapters he is happy for anyone to hear. A code he switches off plays nothing.
Can the family keep a copy?
Yes, as he allows. He can let the family listen, watch and download a copy for the family. He can narrow that at any time, though a copy already downloaded stays downloaded.
What happens to the recordings later?
He decides. We keep them while his account is open, or until he asks us to delete them. He can name a Story Keeper to look after them for him. If we ever stopped offering playback, we would tell him well ahead and give him a full download first.
He tells it once. His family can hear it again.
You give the invitation. He tells the story from his favorite chair, one question at a time. We write it, print it, and bind it.
